In February, pray for MAF's work in HAITI following the devestating earthquake
* Pray for the MAF team who have been affected by the situation, and as they decide how best to assist in the disaster relief response
John Munsell (MAF pilot/mechanic in Haiti) says, "Please pray for us as life will not be normal for a very long time."
* Pray for our partners as they seek to bring relief and support to affected areas and help rebuilding begin
* Pray too for the people of Haiti as they come to terms with the consequences of the quake. This follows in the footsteps of the devastating series of hurricanes that swept across the
country in autumn 2008.
In January, pray for the work of MAF in KALIMANTAN (Indonesia)
Kalimantan is one of the world’s most isolated and remote areas, it remains largely undeveloped.
* Pray for the MAF team (14 staff families) there as they operate in often difficult conditions
* Praise God for the recent arrival of the new Kodiak 100 plane
* Pray for safety as some pilots train to fly this new plane
In December pray for MAF's work in UGANDA
* The MAF program operates five aircraft with multiple weekly flights to northern Uganda, South Sudan, and Bunia, DRC.
* Praise God that the new MAF hangar has arrived safely in four shipping containers. Pray for wisdom for all involved and particularly for Hangar Project Manager George as the foundation work starts and the structure is built.
* Pray for the work developing airstrips on the Sessee Isles in Lake Victoria - an area of tremendous need. Despite being closer to us than all the other places we fly to, it is just as difficult to reach by safe transport - the main option being wooden canoes that leak and are usually overloaded.
* Please pray for peace in Uganda following recent unrest and the continued presence of rebel activity.
In November pray for MAF in BANGLADESH
* MAF operates an amphibian Cessna 208 (a p...lane that can land on water and land) in a country where 30 % of the surface is water. With this plane MAF can go almost everywhere and assist relief work, especially during natural disasters which hit the country every year. Pray that the team would be able to prioritise to help people who need it most.
* Pray for the MAF staff in Bangladesh. There are two expatriate families and 13 local staff to support the flight operation.
* A full time engineer is needed to be based in Dhaka (capital city). Please pray that the right person would come forward to serve in this role.
